A map of the moment that made you
Arain Night Sky began with a simple observation: everyone remembers where they were when their life changed, but almost no one looks up. Above every first kiss, every newborn's first breath, every quiet promise, there was a sky — specific, unrepeatable, and perfectly computable.
We build that sky. Our rendering engine draws on professional star catalogs and the same sidereal-time mathematics observatories use, projecting thousands of stars and all 88 constellations exactly as they stood over your chosen coordinates at your chosen hour. Nothing is illustrated, stylized, or approximated — the preview you design in your browser is the map we engrave.
Each piece is then made to order: pendants, cuffs and rings engraved in sterling silver or 18k gold plate, and prints pressed onto heavyweight archival paper. We keep production small and deliberate, because a map of one moment should be made like it matters.
We name our sources openly. Our star positions come from the HYG database, our constellation figures from the d3-celestial project, and our place index from GeoNames — you can read the full attribution on our data notice.
